There is no doubt that nowadays we are living in an increasingly globalized world. This is why speaking two or more languages has become something crucial four our students and for everyone.
Many researchers have proved that bilingual education has many advantages. Students involved in bilingual activities can improved their cognitive skills like the ability to focus attention or perform mental tasks.
Apart from the obvious benefits of speaking two languages rather than one, in the bilingual project of I.E.S. Alpujarra we also believe that bilingualism can provide our students with more options for further education, more career opportunities, more ability to adapt to new situations and more multicultural awareness.
This website is meant to become a useful tool for students and teachers where we all can share resources, show students' work and develop our English bilingual program.
